Hi and thanks for visiting my website! A little bit about me:
I am from Maryland originally where I was born and raised until attending Elon University in North Carolina to receive a degree in accounting. I met my husband in Maryland in 2005, was married in 2006, and moved to Colorado the day after our wedding.
I founded Focus on the Home in 2008 after experiencing a stressful period in my life trying to juggle the demands of a new full-time career in accounting coupled with trying to manage my new home after recently getting married. Late nights spent cleaning, cooking and stressing out were the norm. I quickly realized that I needed a better way to manage my time if I was going to stay sane!
Through those trying times I learned to use my natural aptitude for organizing and planning to more efficiently manage my time and make life easier for my husband and me. Upon sharing my successes with some friends I quickly discovered that many of them were experiencing similar problems and were extremely grateful to have someone help them out. I also discovered that for the first time in my life I felt very passionate about what I was doing.
It is out of this passion that I decided to move on from the accounting profession to start up Focus on the Home. It is my goal and greatest desire to help you learn how to run and organize your own household in the best possible way. Together we can make life a little easier and a little less stressful for you and your family.
